My uncle Manus Moynihan was part of the IRA Unit. He met his wife Gwen Sloane, a Nurse from Waterville who went to the aid of the injured. They later owned Loo Bridge Bar in Clonkeen and I spent every Summer from about 1945 with my cousins. Aoife Sloane-Minihane

My grandfather Peter Willie Connaughton served as a Captain under John J. Rice from 1916-22 (Kerry Brigade No.2) .. he died at a young age and to this day not one picture of him. Hoping to change that!

I am doing some research on a family member ‘ a great great uncle of mine called Philip John O’Sullivan. He was handed by the British Army Black/Tan the location was a feild over from Over from a grocery store called Austin’son the N70 in Templenoe County Kerry at four miles from Kemmare .
