‘Sir Hamar Greenwood, Chief Secretary for Ireland, inspects the Royal Irish Constabulary in 1920. The constable wearing a khaki Army uniform with an RIC cap is a British recruit–a Black and Tan. The constable on his right with an incomplete police uniform is probably a Black and Tan as well.’
