The Irish Story

Submissions

The Irish Story is accepting submissions for both books/ebooks and articles. Please read the notes below before you submit anything:

1) Submissions must be by email to Submissions[AT]theirishstory.com

2) We only publish articles and books/ebooks on or about IRISH HISTORY. We will NOT consider other manuscripts.

3) Articles can cover any issue from across the full sweep of Irish History though ideally they would concentrate on events of the last 2000 years or so.

4) Articles should be from 250 – 800 words. Longer pieces can be accommodated but please contact the Editor in advance of submission with information.

5) Ideally the author would supply at least one image with an article.

6) Audio or Video recordings can be accommodated in articles but please contact the Editor in advance of submission with information.

7) Books/Ebooks can also be across the full sweep of Irish History however please note that we are very interested in the following:


THE STORY OF SERIES
Short manuscripts (no more than 15,000 words) on specific events in Irish History. Currently five of these titles are commissioned; The Story Of The Easter Rising, 1916, The Story Of The Irish War Of Independence, The Story Of The Irish Civil War, The Story Of 1798 and The Story Of The Irish Famine.


SHORT BIOGRAPHY SERIES
Much like the Story Of series, the Short Biography series aims to offers brief but informative and accessible texts on major figures in Irish History. Manuscripts should not be longer than 15,000 words.


IRISH MILITARY HISTORY
The Irish Story is looking for manuscripts or any length that offering interesting and fresh analysis of Irish Military History.


HISTORICAL IRISH MURDERS
These titles will again be short manuscripts about Irish murders from before 1900. Generally they should be less than 15,000 words.


NOTICE

As a digital first publisher we can only guarantee that any commissioned titles will be published as ebooks or digital texts. While most of our books will be made available through Print-On-Demand, that will be determined on a title-by-title basis.
