The Irish Story is Green Lamp Media’s Irish history publishing imprint. The Irish Story aims to provide informed and accessible Irish history that tackles important issues in Irish History and explains them for a general audience. For 2010 our projects will be primarily ebooks (with ebooks also available as print-on-demand paperbacks), but starting in 2011 we plan a series of traditionally published books that will also be available as ebooks. ALL our books will be about Irish History.

Our Irish History blog will discuss events of the day with a historical perspective and our Irish History Links page provides a list of interesting articles and blog posts on Irish history that are accessible at the click of a mouse. We keep the blog updated daily and we are always looking for guest posts and articles that provide insight into Irish history for the blog. Our first publishing project is The Story Of … Series and will begin next month with The Story Of The Easter Rising, 1916 written by John Dorney. The series will explore five key events in Irish History, the 1916 Rising, The War of Independence, The Civil War, The 1798 Rebellion and The Famine.
